在中考英语试卷中，最后一项“书面表达”题普遍失分较多，这一方面与学生的基础有关，另一方面与应试的方法和策略也有很大的关系。结合各省市近几年“书面表达”命题特点，我们归纳出如下答题对策。
一、给写作留有充分的时间
在中考英语题中，“书面表达”往往是最后一项，有的学生把最后几分钟用在写作上，匆匆了事，这是很不明智的。学生用在写作上的时间应不少于10分钟，力争不丢分，少丢分。
二、认真审题，先打草稿
写之前一定要认真阅读写作要求，切忌见题就写。中考作文主要有两种类型：“提示作文”和“看图作文”。“提示作文”一般已经给出要点，而“看图作文”则需根据图画及提示在很短的时间内将要点列出。把要点列出后，在草稿纸上写提纲，打草稿，就可以看出大概有多少字。在正式往试卷上写之前，根据题目要求适当增减内容，保持卷面整洁。
三、正确使用标点

三、看图写话
中考作文中继续出现简单的叙事型看图写话的可能性很小，但有可能会提供给考生一些具有寓意的漫画或图片，要求考生从中发现问题、提出自己的观点，这对考生的逻辑思维能力和英语语言的娴熟运用都提出了更高的要求。
一、审题和构思阶段
审题时首先要注意确定文体。文体将决定文章的时态，而把握好整篇文章的时态，则是取得较高档次得分的关键。
其次要确定人称。中考作文对于情景都会有详细的设定，对于写作人的姓名以及背景都交代得很清楚。所以弄清楚自己是以什么样的身份来进行写作非常重要。一定要严格按照题目的要求和设定来写。千万不可自己乱编一个名字或者学校，这样的卷子通常会被当作作弊处理，即使你写的并不是你的真实姓名。
最后还要注意要点以及词数，在此基础上编写提纲。各地的中考作文根据学生水平的不同，一般会给出几个要点，而且最后通常都会要求学生有适当的发挥，这是同学们很容易漏掉的要点。也有个别要求特别高的地区只给题目，不给要点，全篇文章由学生自己把握和发挥，如上海。确定要点后就可以结合题目要求的词数进行提纲的编写，同学们有时为了凑字数常常一边写一边数，其实我们可以在写提纲的时候进行规划。如果平均每个句子8个词的话，80个词就大概写10个句子，然后再给每个要点分配若干个句子，重要的要点或者可以发挥的要点就多写几个句子。在列好提纲后，写起作文来就胸有成竹，也容易控制，也可以避免写得过长，到后面就匆匆结尾。对于只给题目，不给要点的作文，列提纲就更为重要了。
下面我们分文体给大家介绍一些写作技巧。
中考最常见的文体是记叙文。记叙文里面最常用的时态是过去时，因为记叙文通常要求描写过去发生的事情。例如湖北咸宁08年的中考作文题，要求根据所给图片描写汶川地震后，灾区小朋友们度过的一个难忘的六一儿童节。记叙文还有一种要用一般现在时来写作的，这种文章通常是关于目前的社会状况、生活、兴趣爱好和学习状况等的描述。例如08年南京中考题以“My English Learning”为题，介绍自己的英语学习状况。当谈论自己的计划或打算时，记叙文也会使用将来时。例如厦门的中考题，和大家分享自己心中的暑假计划等。
中考另一种比较常见的文体是说明文。说明文的用途在于提供信息，通常用来介绍某些事物的特征、性质等，客观性比较强。例如山东威海的中考作文“Welcome to Liu Gong Island”，要求描述刘公岛的概况、交通情况等，这是一篇非常典型的说明文。说明文最经常使用的时态是一般现在时。
中考对议论文的要求也是处于要点作文的层次，通常都会给出论点和论据，然后文章最后个人适当地提出一些意见。例如08年连云港中考作文讨论“白色垃圾”的危害并提出个人建议。议论文通常用于表述自己的观点，这些观点的表达通常使用一般现在时。论据若是目前存在的一些情况，也是用一般现在时，但是若需要引用过去发生的事件，则要用相应的过去时态。在议论文写作中容易出现一种审题的失误，这就是有些同学们在描写完题目给出的观点以及论据以后，往往会忽略题目要求最后还要提出一些自己的看法，而导致文章的要点

日记也是应用文的一种，大部分是记叙文，但由于日记还会涉及到个人的心情、感悟以及想法等，所以在时态的选用上要特别谨慎。一般来说，描述事件用过去的时态，而描述个人的想法和感悟等则用现在时，表决心之类的内容则用将来时。
发言稿一般是议论性的，发言者的目的是为了说服听众接受自己的观点。但是也有记叙性或者说明性的发言稿，目的是为了向听众提供信息或者介绍某些事物。如08年安徽中考作文题是向美国中学生代表团介绍自己学校开展小组合作学习以及自主学习的情况。
有时中考中也会出现倡议书这种文体，例如08年山东青岛的中考作文。倡议书的目的是号召人们行动，所以会经常用到can，may等表示建议的情态动词，以及祈使句等。倡议书的结尾通常是一个口号或者呼吁，必须简洁有力，能打动人心。
二、语言的锤炼阶段
在列好提纲以后，我们的审题步骤就基本完成了，接下来就是进行写作。写作过程中就是语言表达的运用了。但是在每年的中考作文评改中，可以发现同学们在语言的表达方面还是存在不少问题。
1. 受中文思维影响、使用中式英文写作
有些同学不知道如何表达自己的意思，词不达意，很多时候采用直接翻译中文思维的方法。例如，使用long before friend来表示“很久以前的朋友”。虽然an old friend是一个很简单而且很久以前就学过的内容，但在考试时，很多同学却不能反应出正确的短语。例如在表示“我们会乘车去那里”时，有的同学会写出We will by bus to there. 这样的句子。正确的表达应该是We will go there by bus。这些例子都可以很明显地看出中文思维对同学们英语学习的严重影响。
2. 无法使用完整的句子表达意思
有些同学虽然没有直接翻译中文思维，但是却也受到不知如何表达的困扰，他们没有办法使用完整的句子，只能写出和自己思维相关的短语，然后把这些短语拼凑在一起。例如；I think I will reading all of the subjects, a few days for Grade 8, and the other days for Grade 9. 可以猜想出，学生想表达的意思是：I will spend a few days in going over the subjects of Grade 8 and the other days in previewing the subjects of Grade 9. 但是他没有把他的意思用英语正确地组织起来。
3. 只会使用单一结构的句子
有时候，同学们能用比较完整的句子准确地表达自己的意思，但是句子结构十分单一，没有变化，整篇文章读起来缺乏亮点，十分沉闷。例如：I will do my homework in the morning. I will go swimming in the afternoon. I will watch TV or play computer games at night. 这位同学能比较清晰地写出要点以及自己的想法，但是从他使用的句型可以看出他的语言贫乏，只会使用简单的结构，不懂得变化句型使得文章更丰富多彩。
4. 学过的句型结构不能自如地应用在写作中
回看我们的教材以及教学过程，便可以发现，同学们其实反复接触过不少十分有写作价值的句型结构，例如：so... that…; too…to…; not… until…; not…enough to 以及许多连词及从句等等。同学们对于这些句型应该是非常熟悉的，如果让他们做句型转换题，他们多数可以轻松完成，但是在写作中，这些句型却变得仿佛与他们毫无关系。
三、修改及提高阶段
同学们现在已经是初三了，面临着紧张的中考备考，没有太多时间，而写作水平的提高是一个日积月累的过程，那有没有一个办法可以短时间内比较有效的提高写作水平呢？当然是有的。中考写作毕竟不同于我们平时的练笔，它是有一定的套路和规律可循的。
同学们可以搜集一下08年全国各地的中考书面表达题和自己当地近三年来的中考书面表达题，然后每周依照其中的某个题目写篇作文。写完以后再对照范文，对比和思考范文中，对相同的要点的表达和自己的有何不同，究竟是范文好还是自己的比较好。平时也可以多看看周围同学的作文，学习他们的优点。看看他们在表达一个问题时使用了哪些复杂的句式或较高级的词汇，他们对于要点的理解和把握又是怎样的。通过这样取长补短的学习，写作一定会有明显的进步。
另外，同学们可以保留自己写的文章，在隔了一段时间，如两个星期，或者一个月后，再拿出来修改。总之，同学们要养成写完作文后修改的好习惯。这样才可以提高写作的准确性、流畅性和可欣赏性。
一、书面表达题的题型特点
纵观全国各省市的中考英语试题，书面表达题所占的分值在10分左右，书面表达的题型看起来繁多，但都在初中阶段所学的范围之内，内容并不多，题型多为以下几种：
1. 看图编写对话或短文。
2. 根据图示（或英文提示）填写对话或短文中所缺的词语。
3. 根据中文提示编写对话或短文。
4. 根据中文（或英文）提示编写书信、日记、通知、感谢信等。
初中阶段的书面表达主要是考查学生是否具备将零乱的句子组成段落的能力，同时也是考查学生的语句组织能力。从难度上看，填写对话或短文中所缺的词语这一方面的题比较容易，因为句子是现成的，不用自己再造。看图编写对话或短文则要困难一些，因为句子全要自己编写。难度最大的是按中文或英文提示写作文，除了句子不犯语法错误，单词拼写正确外，还要求上下文意思连贯，符合逻辑。
二、做书面表达时应注意的几点
1. 书面表达虽然有一定的主观性，但不同于其他的写作，有它的独特之处，学生不能离
开提示自定内容。即在做的时候，一定要注意提示或图，切中题意。
2. 提示内容要全部写上，不能丢掉一些材料中所包含的内容。
3. 在遣词造句时，一定要选用在课本中学过的并有把握的词汇和句型，决不要凭自己的想像和猜测去写，否则就有可能写出汉语式的英文。
4. 在写短文时，适当的运用所学过的一些连词，将散乱的句子连接成通顺的短文。
5. 若为应用文，格式要正确，书写要符合规范。
6. 做完之后，要认真检查，看语句是否通顺、正确，是否有拼写、大小写、标点符号等方面的错误。
三、书面表达题的答题方法
做书面表达的解题技巧有：
1. 对于看图作文一定要看清画面，了解图示所表达的主要内容，尤其要注意图片中的人物、地点和背景；把握关键词语，积极展开联想；逐图进行描述，综合起来思考。
2. 对于应用文写作一定要仔细阅读写作要求、所给的提示、文字说明等材料，确定写作的文体和格式；根据提供的写作材料，确立主题，列出要点；根据要点运用所掌握的英语词语和知识把要点适当展开，用自己最熟悉最有把握的句型和词汇来表达。尽可能地用多样化的句子结构和句型，使语言丰富、流畅。
3. 写完之后要检查修改。要对照题目要求，认真通读全句、对话或短文，检查内容有无遗漏，时态、语态是否妥当，单词的拼写是否正确，主谓是否一致，句子的语序和表达是否符合英文习惯等，尽量减少错误。
一、记叙文
有时间、地点、人物、事件、原因和结果6个要素。其中时间、地点、人物一般作为故事的开端放在文章的开头；事件和原因常用为故事的发展，放在文章的中间，是文章的主体；结果常作为故事的结局放在文章的最后。温馨提示：（1） 时态：故事、日记和报道之类的文章常是记叙过去发生的事，为常用一般过去时。叙述当前的自然、社会现象多用一般现在时。（2） 人称：常用第一人称或第三人称。
二、说明文
中考中的说明主要是介绍物品、人物、家庭、班级、学校、家乡房间或建筑及地点场所等中。可按时间顺序和空间位置进行说明。除介绍历史人物用一般过去时外，通以一般现在时为主。
三、应用文
中考中的应用文主要有书信、通知、请假条、留言条等。同学们要着重注意与汉语格式的不同之处。如汉语信中的写信日期写在信末的右下方，而英语信的写信日期位于信笺的右上方，汉语信的称呼后冒号，而英语信的称呼后一般用逗号；汉语信末常在结束语后写上“某某敬上”、“某某顿首”等，而英文信末，在右下方写上Yours （truly / sincerely / faithfully） 后加逗号，再在其下面签名；请假条和便条的格式与英文书信差不多，只是写的日期一般不需写年月，只写日期或星期几、上午 / 下午或几点钟；英文书面通知的发布单位可像汉语通知一样写在通知正文末的右下方，也可写在NOTICE的上方或前方，通知日期可写在通知正文的右上方也可写在通知最后的左下方；口头通知均以That‘s all. 一、词汇基础
要写出漂亮的句子和文章我们必须熟练掌握大量的单词。如描写人物时，若要具体生动，你就需要掌握以下单词：外表特征用tall， short， fat， thin， strong， weak， ordinary-looking 等；服饰颜色用red， yellow， blue， white， green， brown， black 等；内心境界用glad， happy， sad， excited， anxious， interested 等；感情描写用love， like， hate， feel， laugh， cry， smile， shout 等；动作描写用come， go， get， have， take， bring， fetch 等。
单词量大才可以在一句话或一篇文章中尽量不使用同一单词，而用同义词去代替，以避免过多的重复。
二、短语基础

中考作文复习七法
中考作文复习，传统上采用模拟考试和讲评，每周一次或多次，收不到良好的复习效果。近几年来我们要用了以学生训练为主的复习方法，明显地提高了复习效率，收到了极佳效果。
一、语言技能训练法。
复述课本是一根很好练习口语的方法，增加语感。
二、搜集材料法。
充分利用同学手中的各种资料，每周抽出一节课，自由阅读，使学生在广袤瑰丽的作文海洋，搜集作文素材，学习多种写作上的技巧。
三、佳作欣赏法。
在搜集材料法的活动中，把佳作选出来，选几篇，在小组间或班上交流。此法不但拓宽
了学生的写作视野，也培养了学生的审美感。
四、专题训练法。
在一段时间里，配合搜集材料法、佳作欣赏法，集中训练一个专题。如说明文专题，以空间、时间或逻辑为顺序各练习一篇，从中找出说明顺序的写作技巧和方法。应用文也可采用这种方法，不但使学生掌握应用文各类型的格式要求，而且也通过对比，把应用文极易混淆、出错的地方暴露出来，加以改正。
五、提纲训练法。
此法目的是增加训练密度、节约训练时间。例如训练议论文时，专题是一事一议，找一些作文题目，如《说难》，《说失败》，《迟到一分钟是小事吗？》等等，然后要学生只拟提纲，不求成文。此法在有限的时间里要求学生多角度立意训练，既培养了学生的快速思维，同时在写作效益上收到了事半功倍的效果。
六、仿写法。
目的是训练学生的听力、记忆力和摹仿想象力，学生先读一篇范文，然后让去仿写。切忌抄袭
七、心理素质训练法。
此法的目的是训练和培养学生的应考心理素质，提高他们的考场反干扰能力，其训练方法：
（1）模拟考试作文。
（2）举办中考作文技巧讲座。
（3）排除干扰训练。如交换考场（异校交换）、交换临场教师等。
中考英语写作六要素
每年的英语中考都有写作这一考查的内容，所以同学们要重视写作的方法，消除畏惧心理，排除心理障碍。纵观近几年中考英语写作题，题材一般是写人、写事、写物、写景、日记、书信、通知、便条等文体。一般来说，不同的写作题材，它的人物，时间，写作的重点也是不尽相同的。下面简单介绍一下中考英语写作六个要素：审题清，要点明，列提纲，全文顺，无病句，打草稿。
（1）.审题要清看到考题后，先不要急于动笔，要仔细看清题目要求的内容。在自己的头脑中构思出一个框架或画面，确定短文的中心思想，不要匆匆下笔，看懂题意，根据提供的资料和信息来审题。审题要审格式、体裁、人物关系、故事情节、主体时态、活动时间、地点等。
（2）.要点明确要点是给分的一个重要因素。为了防止写作过程中遗漏要点，同学们要充
分发挥自己的观察力，把情景中给出的各个要点逐一罗列出。
（3）.列出提纲为写作做好准备。根据文章要点短文的中心思想将主要句型、关键词语记下，形成提纲。
（4）.写顺全文写短文时要做到五个方面：
1.避免使用汉语式英语，尽量使用自己熟悉的句型。
2.多用简单句型，记事、写人一般都不需要复杂的句型。可适当多使用陈述句、一般疑问句、祈使句和感叹句。不用或少用非谓语或独立主格结构等较复杂的句型。
3.注意语法、句法知识的灵活运用。语态、时态要准确无误；主谓语要一致，主语的人称和数要和谓语一致；注意冠词用法，例如：It takes Tom half an hour to go to school by bus.中的an不能写成a；注意拼写，例如：fourteen，forty，ninth等不要写成forteen，fourty， nineth等；注意标点符号和大小写。
4.描写人物时，要生动具体，可以选择使用下列词汇，例如：外形：tall，short，fat，thin，strong，weak，pretty等；颜色：red， yellow，blue，white，green，brown，black等；心情：glad，happy，sad，excited，anxious，interest-ed等；情感：love，like，hate，feel，laugh，cry，smile，shout等。
5.上下文要连贯。同学们应把写好的句子，根据故事情节，事情发生的先后次序（时间或空间），使用一些表示并列、递进等过渡词进行加工整理，使文章连贯、自然、流畅。同学们应注意下面过渡的用法：并列关系：and， as well as， or„；转折关系：but， yet， however„；时间关系：when， while， after， before， then， after that„；因果关系：so，there-fore，as a result„；目的：in order to，in order that，so as to， so that„；列举：for example ，such as„；总结性：in general， in all， in a word， generally speaking„
（5）没有病句中考作文时，由于时间紧、内容多，同学们出错在所难免。因此，改错这一环节必不可少。中考作文评卷是根据要点、语言准确性、上下文的连贯性来给分，根据错误多少来扣分。因此中考时花几分钟时间用来检查错误显得尤为重要。检查错误应从以下几个方面入手：
（1） 看字数是否达到要求，看有无遗漏要点。
（2） 看文体格式是否正确规范。
（3） 看有无语法或用词上的错误。
（4） 看单词拼写、字母大小写是否有错，标点符号有无遗漏或用错等等。
（5） 注意时态、语态、人称是否上下文一致。
（6） 先打草稿考试中，书面表达应做到先打草稿，写完后多读几遍，检查是否有误，然后再抄到试卷上，注意字迹要工整，不涂、不画、不勾不抹，避免不必要的扣分。
平时写作注意的地方；
1紧扣中心思想
通常，文章的第一句话就要表达出自己的看法，这也就是所谓的“主题句”。不要让读者去猜想。
2 变换句子的长度。
一般，使用短句来强调中心思想，使用长句来解释、定义、或者阐述自己的想法。
3.把关键词和中心放在段落的始句或
不要让中心埋没在段落中。想要强调关键词的话就把他们放在起始或者结尾。4变换句型和结构
穿插一般疑问句和命令句来变换句型。也可以用简单、复合或者复杂句来增加句子结构的种类。

要想清楚的表达你的想法，让读者明白你的意思，就需要使用具体、确切的词语来表达。 7去除冗杂
当修改你的文章时，去除那些不需要的词语。
8朗读修改
当你朗读修改时，你可能听出那些不易于看出来的问题。比如说：语气语调，强调部分，一些词语的选择，句法。所以，仔细听好！
9 积极的编辑、校对
只需重读一遍自己的文章就很容易检查出错误。当检查最后的草稿时，请注意那些很容易出错的地方.
10使用字典
在校对的时候不要相信那些拼写检查。它只能告诉你某个单词是否是单词，不能告诉你这个词是否用对了。
记叙文的特点
1. 叙述的人称
英语的记叙文一般是以第一或第三人称的角度来叙述的。用第一称表示的是由叙述者亲眼所见、亲耳所闻的经历。它的优点在于能把故事的情节通过“我”来传达给读者，使人读后感到真实可信，如身临其境。如：
The other day, I was driving along the street. Suddenly, a car lost its control and ran directly towards me fast. I was so frightened that I quickly turned to the left side. But it was too late. The car hit my bike and I fell off it.
用第三人称叙述，优点在于叙述者不受“我”活动范围以内的人和事物的限制，而是通过作者与读者之外的第三者，直接把故事中的情节展现在读者面前，文章的客观性很强。如：Little Tom was going to school with an umbrella, for it was raining hard. On the way, he saw an old woman walking in the rain with nothing to cover. Tom went up to the old woman and wanted to share the umbrella with her, but he was too short. What could he do? Then he had a good idea.
2. 动词的时态
在记叙文中，记和叙都离不开动词。所以动词出现率最高，且富于变化。记叙文中用得最多的是动词的过去的，这是英语记叙文区别于汉语记叙文的关键之处。英语写作的优美之处就在于这些动词时态的变化，正是这一点才使得所记、所叙有鲜活的动态感、鲜明的层次感和立体感。
3. 叙述的顺序
记叙一件事要有一定的顺序。无论是顺叙、倒叙、插叙还是补叙，都要让读者能弄清事情的来龙去脉。顺叙最容易操作，较容易给读者提供有关事情的空间和时间线索。但这种方法也容易使文章显得平铺直叙，读起来平淡乏味。倒叙、插叙、补叙等叙述方法能有效地提高文章的结构效果，让所叙之事跌宕起伏，使读者在阅读时思维产生较大的跳跃，从而为文章所吸引，深入其中。但这些方法如果使用不当，则容易弄巧成拙，使文章结构散乱，头绪不清，让读者不知所云。
4. 叙述的过渡
过渡在上下文中起着承上启下、融会贯通的作用。过渡往往用在地点转移或时间、事件转换以及由概括说明到具体叙述时。如：
In my summer holidays, I did a lot of things. Apart form doing my homework, reading an
English novel, watching TV and doing some housework, I went on a trip to Qingdao. It is really a beautiful city. There are many places of interest to see. But what impressed me most was the sunrise.
The next morning I got up early. I was very happy because it was a fine day. By the time I got to the beach, the clouds on the horizon were turning red. In a little while, a small part of the sun was gradually appearing. The sun was very red, not shining. It rose slowly. At last it brok
ke through the red clouds and jumped above the sea, just like a deep-red ball. At the same time the clouds and the sea water became red and bright.
What a moving and unforgettable scene!
5. 叙述与对话
引用故事情节中主要人物的对话是记叙文提高表现力的一种好方法。适当地用直接引语代替间接的主观叙述，可以客观生动地反映人物的性格、品质和心理状态，使记叙生动、有趣，使文章内容更加充实、具体。试比较下面两段的叙述效果：
I was in the kitchen, and I was cooking something. Suddenly I heard a loud noise from the front. I thought maybe someone was knocking the door. I asked who it was but I heard no reply. After a while I saw my cat running across the parlor. I realized it was the cat. I felt released.
这本来应是一段故事性很强的文字，但经作者这么一写，就不那么吸引人了。原因是文中用的都是叙述模式，没有人物语言，把“悬念”给冲淡了。可作如下调整：
I was in the kitchen cooking something.
二、写好记叙文的基本要领
1. 头绪分明，脉络清楚
写好记叙文，首先要头绪分明，脉络清楚，明确文章要求写什么。要对所写的事件或人物进行分析，弄清事件发生、发展一直到结束的整个过程，然后再收集选取素材。这些素材都应该跟上述五个“ W ”和一个“ H ”有关。尽管不是每篇记叙文里都必须包括这些“ W ”和“ H ”，但动笔之前，围绕五个“ W ”和“ H ”进行构思是必不可少的。
2. 突出中心，详略得当
在文章的框架确定后，对支持故事的素材的选取是很关键的。选材要注意取舍，应该从表现文章主题的需要出发，分清主次，定好详略。要突出重点，详写细述那些能表现文章主题的重要情节，略写粗述那么非关键的次要情节。面面俱到反而使情节罗列化，使人不得要领。这一点是写好记叙文要解决的一个基本问题，也需要一定的技巧。如：

3. 用活语言，准确生动
记叙文要用具体的事件和生动的语言对人、事、物加以叙
述。一篇好的记叙文的语言既要准确、生动，又要表现力强，这样才能把人、事描写得具体生动，其可读性才强。试比较下面一篇例文修改的前后效果。
原文：
One day Xiaoqiang was wandering away. He was soon lost among people and traffic. He could not find the way back home and started crying. Just then, two young students who were passing by found him standing alone in front of a shop and crying. They went up to Xiaoqiang and asked him what had happened. Xiaoqiang told them how he got lost and where he lived. The two students decided to take him home. Mother was pleased to see Xiaoqiang come back safe and sound. She invited the two students into the house and gave them some money, but they didn＇t take it. She served them with tea but they left.
修改后：
The other day, five-year-old Xiaoqiang left home alone and wandered happily in the street. After some time, he felt hungry so he wanted to go back home. But he found he was lost among the crowded people and heavy traffic. When he could not find the way home, he started and crying. Just then, two young students who were passing by from school found him sanding crying in front of a shop. They immediately went up to him.
And they spent the next two hours looking for the boy＇s house. With the help of a policeman, they finally found it.
When the worried mother saw her son come back safe and sound, she was so thankful and she invited the students into her house. Gratefully, she offered them some money, saying it was a way to express her thanks, but the young students firmly refused it and left without even a cup of tea.
记叙文是记人叙事的文章，它主要是用于说明事件的时间、背景、起因、过程及结果，即我们通常所说的五个“ W ”（ what, who, when, where, why ）和一个“ H ”（ how ）。记叙文的重点在于“述说”和“描写”，因此一篇好的记叙文要叙述条理清楚，描写生动形象。下面就谈谈英语记叙文的特点和写好记叙文的基本要领。
一、记叙文的特点
1. 叙述的人称
英语的记叙文一般是以第一或第三人称的角度来叙述的。用第一称表示的是由叙述者亲眼所见、亲耳所闻的经历。它的优点在于能把故事的情节通过“我”来传达给读者，使人读后感到真实可信，如身临其境。如：

用第三人称叙述，优点在于叙述者不受“我”活动范围以内的人和事物的限制，而是通过作者与读者之外的第三者，直接把故事中的情节展现在读者面前，文章的客观性很强。如：Little Tom was going to school with an umbrella, for it was raining hard. On the way, he saw an old woman walking in the rain with nothing to cover. Tom went up to the old woman and wanted to share the umbrella with her, but he was too short. What could he do? Then he had a good idea.
2. 动词的时态
在记叙文中，记和叙都离不开动词。所以动词出现率最高，且富于变化。记叙文中用得最多的是动词的过去的，这是英语记叙文区别于汉语记叙文的关键之处。英语写作的优美之处就在于这些动词时态的变化，正是这一点才使得所记、所叙有鲜活的动态感、鲜明的层次
感和立体感。
3. 叙述的顺序
记叙一件事要有一定的顺序。无论是顺叙、倒叙、插叙还是补叙，都要让读者能弄清事情的来龙去脉。顺叙最容易操作，较容易给读者提供有关事情的空间和时间线索。但这种方法也容易使文章显得平铺直叙，读起来平淡乏味。倒叙、插叙、补叙等叙述方法能有效地提高文章的结构效果，让所叙之事跌宕起伏，使读者在阅读时思维产生较大的跳跃，从而为文章所吸引，深入其中。但这些方法如果使用不当，则容易弄巧成拙，使文章结构散乱，头绪不清，让读者不知所云。
4. 叙述的过渡
过渡在上下文中起着承上启下、融会贯通的作用。过渡往往用在地点转移或时间、事件转换以及由概括说明到具体叙述时。如：

对于答题心得，胡诗琪表示，不会做的题，不要去死回忆老师当时是怎么讲的，可联系生活实际想。
胡诗琪说，去年考科学时，有一道关于沸点的题，老师讲的相关知识点想不起来了。她干脆联想起在家烧开水时的情景，盖上盖子水就开得快些，明白了沸点跟气压有关，于是想起了答案。
因为语文是弱项，考前复习时胡诗琪除背文章外，她还看自己初中被老师评为好作文的文章。

“犯了最低级的错误。”虽然并未影响最终录取结果，但说起中考英语的失误，汪峡至今仍耿耿于怀。
汪峡说，英语一直是她的强项，不想中考时遇上收音机音量问题，第一小题没听清楚，结果一下变得非常紧张，乱了节奏，怎么也跟不上速度，整组听力非常糟糕。考后对答案，她发现因为听力部分失误，英语才只考了“A+2”档。
